The Canton fair

China Import and Export Fair, also known as Canton Fair, was founded in the spring of 1957. It is held in Guangzhou every spring and autumn. Canton fair by the Ministry of Commerce and jointly organized by the people's government of guangdong province, China foreign trade center, is the longest history in China, the largest and most complete products, most buyers and source of the most popular, clinch a deal the best effect, the credibility of the best comprehensive international trade event, known as the no.1 in China, a barometer of China's foreign trade, an indicator.

The Canton Fair is a window, epitome and symbol of China's opening-up and an important platform for international trade cooperation. Over the past 65 years, the Canton Fair has gone through trials and tribulations without interruption. It has been successfully held for 130 sessions and established trade relations with more than 220 countries and regions around the world, with a total export turnover of about 1.5 trillion US dollars and about 9 million overseas buyers attending the fair. It has greatly promoted the trade and friendly exchanges between China and other countries in the world.

On the occasion of the opening of the 130th Canton Fair, President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter, fully recognizing the important contribution the Fair has made to serving international trade, promoting internal and external connectivity and promoting economic development over the past 65 years since its founding, giving the Fair a new historical mission and pointing the way forward for its new journey in the new era. Premier Li Keqiang delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony, made an investigation tour and gave important instructions. He expressed the hope that the Canton Fair will continue to achieve greater success, scale new heights in reform and opening up, expand the pattern of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation, and make new achievements in sustainable development.
